Frances Stratford

Unraveling the Past, One Mystery at a Time.

Frances Stratford is an accomplished writer specializing in historical mysteries. She's written two captivating short stories set in the Tudor court, The Queen's Judgment, and Wise Enough to Play the Fool, where Queen Anne of Cleves takes on the role of an unlikely detective. Another short story, "Major Deception," was even featured in the esteemed anthology Wolfsbane: Best New England Crime 2023. Currently, Frances is embarking on a new project—a mystery series starring the renowned Geoffrey Chaucer. Outside of her literary pursuits, Frances enjoys exploring the scenic landscapes of her New England home alongside her dog Madeleine, and indulging in true crime documentaries for inspiration.
